ReYCarr Software has several important features.  The most outstanding is its Certification Mode that is ideal for homework assignments.

• Certify mode allows the student to certify in a program at home, print a certification form, and save a certification code.  The printed Certification Form is a document that certifies that the student has obtained a mastery score on the program (about 80 - 85% correct out of a set number of problems).  The form contains the student's name, the name of the program that was mastered, and the date.  The code can also be saved and used later if necessary to print the Certification Form.

Additional features include:

• Free Response  No slots to fill in, no multiple choice; all problems are free response using a customized word processor interface.
• Variety  Problems are produced using custom designed algorithms and random number generators that yield a substantial variety.  Memorization of solutions is nearly impossible.
• Encourages good writing  Answers require correct mathematical expressions as if written by hand.  Acceptable equivalent expressions are recognized.  Undesirable notations and expressions (such as unreduced fractions, coefficients of 1, leading negative sign in denominator) are pointed out and not accepted.  Students focus on building correct mathematical understanding and notational habits because there are no "unusual" formats for entering answers.
• Solutions are available for almost all programs.  By clicking Show Answer, the student may see a complete solution to the given problem.  This is ideal for study and practice.
• Efficient  Each product resides completely on one CD.  Usually no installation required.  Runs stand alone from the disk on any Windows based computer (98, 2000, ME, XP, Vista).
• Easy to use  ReYCarr programs have been used with ease by tens of thousands of students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.
• Mathematical Integrity  ReYCarr programs generate questions that have been carefully designed by mathematics instructors who are currently using the material in the classroom.  With ReYCarr Software, instructors can be confident about the mathematical integrity of the programs that their students are using.

Each program has a consistent screen:  Running score and percent correct, Help, Show Answer, Certify, Start Over, and Quit buttons always present.  The user has two tries to get the correct answer; first try is full credit,  second try is half credit.  A first incorrect try is always shown.
The Show Answer button will display the solution (no credit given to the user).
